The Title III Project Director is a grant-funded full-time exempt position with benefits. Working with the Title III Program Director and Title III Task Force, the Project Director will facilitate the overall management, planning and implementation, data gathering and maintenance of records, communication and reporting, personnel and budget management, evaluation, and compliance for the Title III grant. The position will require significant collaboration, coordination, and communication between partner offices engaged in Title III grant activities. The Title III grant activities are designed to: 1) Increase support and advocacy for eligible students; 2) Create a culture of support and inclusion for eligible students; and 3) Improve the coordination, collection, and analysis of data regarding eligible students. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
- Provide leadership and direction for all Title III grant related activities;
- Remain current regarding Title III and U.S. Department of Education policies, grant terms and conditions, and ensure that the program operates in compliance with all terms and conditions of the grant and all federal regulations;
- Facilitate data collection, analysis, and reporting, including annual performance reports to the Department of Education and Board of Trustees, and collaborating with the grant-funded external evaluation team;
- Conduct outreach with campus constituencies to schedule and provide relevant programming and services;
- Collaborate with key Title III partner offices:
- With the Title III Project Director, Task Force, and Chief Diversity Officer, develop and maintain a Title III Policy and Procedures Manual that embodies the requirements of the program statutes, regulations, and policy statements;
- With Information Technology and key campus stakeholders to assist in implementation of a comprehensive student success management platform;
- With the Office of Grants and Sponsored Programs to manage budget, maintain budget control, approve expenditures, and ensure appropriate use of federal funds;
- With Institutional Research to collect relevant data and reporting summative and formative assessment of Otterbein's participation in the Title III grant;
- With Student Success and Career Development to assist in the hiring process for grant-funded professional personnel, including Student Success Coach;
- With the Office of Social Justice and Student Activism to assist with expanding peer mentoring for eligible students and first-generation affinity group;
- With identified student-employing campus offices to help develop and coordinate Leadership Program for grant-identified eligible students, including identifying and developing positions, participating in hiring and alignment of processes with grant funds, and implementing training for supervisory staff;
- With Academic Support Center team to help implement cohort-specific tutoring practices and services;
- With Center for Teaching and Learning to help coordinate faculty/staff development;
- With Library to expand course reserves collection for targeted courses;
- With Marketing and Communications, develop marketing to publicize Title III grant activities on campus;
- Other duties as identified.
