Our Global Fixed Income team is seeking a MBA Summer Intern with the credit research team in our Boston office.Our MBA summer internships run 10 to 12 weeks and allows you to gain valuable business experience and on-the-job training. You will learn from industry experts, company leaders, and peers to help you develop personally and professionally. Our internships are designed to enhance your academic background by providing hands-on, practical investment research experience as you work on company analysis, and research projects with real impact.What are the responsibilities of an MBA Intern?Interns will typically be assigned to an industry of coverage for the summer and will be responsible for researching relevant issues and recommending appropriate investments to the portfolio manager. You will have an opportunity to work closely with senior members of our investment research and portfolio management teams, interface with company management, sell side analysts, competitors, and customers. You will help make buy and sell recommendations to fund managers. By the end of the summer, you will write an industry overview and formally present your findings to the portfolio management team.What are the qualifications?
  • Applicants must be a Toigo Fellow and first year MBA student
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Intellectual rigor combined with intellectual curiosity and intellectual honesty
  • Independent thinker who can conduct independent research
Compensation Range: Along with base compensation, other compensation is offered such as a discretionary bonus, 401k plan, health insurance, and other perks. There are several factors taken into consideration in making compensation decisions including but not limited to location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. At Franklin Templeton, we apply a total reward philosophy where all aspects of compensation and benefits are taken into consideration in determining compensation. We expect the monthly salary for this position to range be approximately $14,000 per month, paid hourly.When applying, please be sure to attach your resume / CV.
