Summary: Responsible for traffic management at assigned toll plazas to ensure efficient flow of traffic. Relationships:
- Directly reports to the Toll Operations Assistant Area Manager.
- Works directly with other Toll Operations staff and Supervisors from other departments within ITRCC.
Responsibilities:
- Performs all tasks safely, complies with all internal and external safety requirements, supports ITRCC safety culture, attends all safety trainings and completes all compliance trainings as required by ITRCC.
- Upholds ITRCC's core values: Customer Service, Respect, Excellence, Stewardship and Teamwork (CREST).
- Observe for safety issues and take corrective active as necessary.
- Responsible for direct supervision and performance management of seasonal and temporary Toll Collectors including but not limited: Recommendations on hiring, discipline, pay increase, authority to approve timecards/payroll reviews in ADP HRIS, approve vacation time/sick time/PTO time, authority to receive calls from absences, interview applicants, sign and issue disciplinary forms, trains and conducts performance reviews, inspects work, conducts end of season performance reviews, and adherence to all ITRCC policies and procedures. Incumbent does not have the authority to discipline, counsel or suspend an employee without the prior approval of the Human Resources Department.
- Greeting customers in a friendly manner
- Keeping your designated work area clean at all times.
- Responsible for traffic management at assigned toll plazas to ensure efficient flow of traffic to include assisting customers in-person or remotely.
- Following departmental policy, incumbent will schedule the personnel necessary to efficiently process expected traffic in our plazas.
- Make necessary adjustments in the staff as dictated by events or as directed.
- Make checks of toll plaza(s) at various times of the day and night.
- Adjustments to toll lane configurations shall be made to aide in the efficient flow of traffic.
- Prepare weekly lane schedules to meet company demands.
- Monitors operation and condition of ITRCC property - report issues using trouble ticket software.
- Incumbent is expected to use good judgment to determine if interdiction is necessary and in what form to assure, we are fulfilling our tasks and responsibilities to our customers and the company.
- Monitor supply inventories.
- Replace gates and maintain lane functionality - could encompass minor software restarts.
- Gives assistance to disabled vehicles, helps at accidents and renders first aid when necessary.
- Authorize the use of overtime to achieve these requirements and to mandate overtime as necessary.
- Must be ready to aid in emergency situations.
- Performs duties related to electronic toll collection as assigned; assisting with issues including but not limited to phone systems, email, and unpaid tolls.
- Perform tasks and duties with the following tolling software systems:
- Roadside Toll Collection System
- Microsoft Office Tools (Word, Excel, TEAMS, Outlook)
- Adobe
- Power BI
- Zabbix
- DOT Look Up
- VPN
- Ticket Management System
- Performs other duties as required.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma/ GED
- Must have proven organization skills.
- Must possess effective communication skills both written and orally.
- Must possess the knowledge and skill necessary to effectively perform on the job training for new hires.
- Knowledge and experience in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Ability to apply company policies in a consistent manner with the best interest of the company in mind.
- Must possess the ability to manage in a fast-paced high stress environment while providing a high level of customer focus.
- Must be able to lift and carry weights up to 50 lbs. along with other physical duties involving pushing, pulling and lifting.
- Must possess and maintain a valid driver's license.
Desirable Experience:
- 2-4 years past supervision experience
