Job Description:

**Aerotek is hiring a Tool and Die Machinist**

**Shift: M-F 4:00 am to 4:00 pm**

**Pay: $28 to $38**

**Job Description**

+ Study blueprints, sketches, drawings, manuals, specifications, or sample parts to determine dimensions and tolerances of finished work pieces, sequence of operations, and setup requirements

+ Measure, marking, and scribing dimensions and reference points on materials or work pieces as guides for subsequent machining.

+ Set up, align, and secure holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments, accessories, and materials on machines such as mills, lathes, jig borers, grinders, and shapers.

+ Calculate and set controls to regulate machining factors such as speed, feed, coolant flow, and depth and angle of cut, or enter commands to retrieve, input, or edit computerized machine control media.

+ Observe machine operation to detect malfunctions or out-of-tolerance machining and adjusting machine controls or control media as required will also be key tasks.

+ Install machined replacement parts in mechanisms, machines, and equipment, and test operation of units to ensure functionality and performance.

This is a permanent position.

**Work Site**

This is a fully on-site position in Toone, Tennessee.

**Work Environment**

Manufacturing plant with presses and extruders. This environment requires a 'Safety First' attitude. The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds. The plant manufactures military grade solar flares.
