Job Overview: We are looking for a Toolmaker Associate who has previous experience working in a machine shop. The ideal candidate will provide technical, fabrication, and tool making support to manufacturing and product development. They produce, repair, and modify jigs, fixtures, gauges, dies and other pieces of mechanical equipment and tools with high precision specifications by interpreting blueprints, sketches and verbal instructions and specifications. The Toolmaker operates all mechanical equipment including the milling machines, lathes, grinders, saws and heat-treating equipment located in the tool room.Company Overview: Mi-Tech Tungsten Metals provides precision tungsten alloys and tungsten composites to the aerospace, defense, medical, oil and gas, and machining industries. Based in Indianapolis, Indiana, Mi-Tech consolidates production, sales, maintenance, customer service, and quality control in one 85,000-square-foot location to maximize efficiency.Responsibilities and Duties (include but are not limited to):Follow relevant MTTM procedures and the MTTM Quality PolicyInterpret drawings for manufacture of tooling, jigs, and fixturesSpecify and order material requirementsBuild and maintain tooling, jigs, and fixturesMinimum Qualification:High school diploma or GED equivalentExperience in an industrial manufacturing environmentStrong mathematical skillsExperience or familiar with machine shop equipmentExperience with Haas Mills (Preferred)Must have your own tool (indicators, mics, hand tools, etc.)Mastercam experience (a Plus)Physical Requirements:Lift and carry up to 50 lbsCommunicate effectivelyAbility to stand for long periods of timeAble to walk, bend, and reach with both hands
