Summary of Position Lays out, fabricates, assembles, and repairs jigs, fixtures, forms, templates, and related tooling used in manufacturing aircraft parts and assemblies, following blueprints, sketches, and specifications, using hand tools, power tools, machines, and equipment. Essential Functions
- Examines blueprints and/or MBD models for templates, jigs, fixtures, or other bond tools to be built
- Use of measuring equipment: micrometers, calipers, etc.
- Work with aluminum, steel, graphite materials, etc.
- Use of hand tools, power tools, and various shop equipment
- Deburring and grinding of tools
- Operate crane, forklift, and heaving machinery
- Track hours on all jobs
- Any additional duties assigned by management
Required Skills, Education & Experience Any combination of education and experience providing the required skill and knowledge for successful job performance will be considered. Typical qualifications would be:
- Minimum 3-5 years of experience in a manufacturing environment
- Minimum 3-5 years' experience in setup and operating lathes, bridgeport, surface grinder, etc.
- Ability to read and understand blueprints and GD&T
- Basic math skills
- Knowledge of various hand tools, power tools, and shop equipment.
- Must have own tools
- This position must meet Export Control Compliance requirements, therefore a US Person as defined by 22.C.F.R. is required

- Able to work varied shifts, overtime and weekends when necessary
- Ability to work with management team to help drive performance of location
