Job Description:
We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant with extensive experience in machine tooling parts. The ideal candidate will handle all tool and tooling requests for production jobs, maintain inventory, and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment.Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage all requests at the crib window.
  • Understand and use all relevant tool terminology.
  • Review and pull tools from setup sheets.
  • Monitor and order perishable tooling as needed.
  • Maintain the computer tracking system for all shop tools and equipment.
  • Assess the quality of tools returned to the crib.
  • Set tools for the machines.
Working Requirements:
  • Physical ability to stand, reach, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and concentrate on tasks.
  • Strong computer skills for inventory management and status updates.
  • Investigate tool quality issues and recommend improvements.
  • Ensure compliance with Federal (OSHA), State, and Local safety laws.
  • Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.
  • Secure diagnostic or repair work from outside facilities if needed.
  • Ability to follow oral and written directives.
  • Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Other Requirements:
  • Perform any job, task, or function as requested by management.
  • Excellent people skills and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing machine shop tools and fixtures.
Job Type:
  • Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
  • Reliable daily transportation and a proven track record of attendance and punctuality are essential.
  • Must pass a background check required by the customer.
Job Benefits:

    • Minimum of two years in a shop or manufacturing environment.
