We are seeking a Tool Crib Attendant with extensive experience in machine tooling parts. The ideal candidate will handle all tool and tooling requests for production jobs, maintain inventory, and ensure smooth operations in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities:
- Manage all requests at the crib window.
- Understand and use all relevant tool terminology.
- Review and pull tools from setup sheets.
- Monitor and order perishable tooling as needed.
- Maintain the computer tracking system for all shop tools and equipment.
- Assess the quality of tools returned to the crib.
- Set tools for the machines.
Working Requirements:
- Physical ability to stand, reach, lift (up to 50 lbs.), and concentrate on tasks.
- Strong computer skills for inventory management and status updates.
- Investigate tool quality issues and recommend improvements.
- Ensure compliance with Federal (OSHA), State, and Local safety laws.
- Perform preventative maintenance and repairs on tools and equipment.
- Secure diagnostic or repair work from outside facilities if needed.
- Ability to follow oral and written directives.
- Work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in basic math (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division).
Other Requirements:
- Perform any job, task, or function as requested by management.
- Excellent people skills and in-depth knowledge of manufacturing machine shop tools and fixtures.
Job Type:
- Full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday - Friday).
- Reliable daily transportation and a proven track record of attendance and punctuality are essential.
- Must pass a background check required by the customer.
