- Build, repair, and maintain tooling to meet specifications.
- Troubleshoot and correct tooling issues; suggest improvements.
- Review and interpret blueprints for accurate production.
- Operate and adjust machinery; sharpen and replace tooling as needed.
- Perform preventive maintenance and manage documentation.
- Assist R&D with tooling and fit new tooling packages.
- Use precision measuring tools and follow EHS procedures.
QUALIFICATIONSMinimum Education:
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- Specialized vocational training or apprenticeship preferred.
Minimum Skills and Experience:
- 2-3 years in industrial or mechanical repair.
- Experience with manual, semi-automated, or automated tools and machines (e.g., lathes, grinders).
- Strong communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills.
- Accurate, detail-oriented work with strong math and mechanical abilities.
- Effective in fast-paced environments and skilled in Microsoft Office.
- Ability to establish relationships, influence change, and make quick decisions.
Working Conditions:
- Work is carried out in a controlled, agreeable production environment.
- Oil, coolant and noise (90db) present. Hearing protection is required.
- Technician is subject to lifting up to 50 lbs.
