Job Description:

Who we are looking for:We are currently searching for a Tool & Die Technician to be based out of Hebron, OH reporting to the Manufacturing Supervisor.As a Tool and Die Technician, responsible for maintaining the metal forming dies and all production tooling that requires a high degree of precision. Successful technicians demonstrate an exceptional ability to fabricate machine and die parts to specification and repair equipment quickly.These abilities are directly related to a technician's attitude and extensive experience. What you'll do: Fabricate tooling and repair die problems for production equipment and related systemsProperly utilize measuring tools for fabrication to tight tolerancesInterpret complex blueprintsWork alone, quickly, and competently, to complete tasksStandard work training, 5S, lean sustainment and problem solvingCommunication skills to apply strong manufacturing guidelines with a strategic planning focusInspect, install, and repair equipmentTroubleshooting and stress testing of productsEnsuring all parts are properly fitted and alignedVerification of dimensions and product specificationsPerform activities on parts, manufacturing machines, and equipment while following safety objectives according to the company's safety, quality, housekeeping, and production standardsAssists team members with technical issuesParticipate in Lean Daily Manufacturing and 5S activities and promote the plant Lean cultureWhat you'll bring:High School Diploma or GED required with a minimum of 5 years of experience repairing progressive metal stampingSpecialized fabrication certification is preferredFabricate tooling and repair die problems for production equipment and related systemsEffectively use measuring tools for fabrication to tight tolerancesComplete understanding of mechanical principles in machinery operationAbility to distinguish various cosmetic flawsExperience in machinery maintenance repairPossess strong written and verbal communication skillsAbility to read blueprints/shop drawingsForklift certification is strongly preferredAbility to lift and manipulate up to 50lbsLean concept sustainment & problem-solving skillsAbility to give verbal instruction, build positive relationships, and good organizational skillsFlexibility of shift schedule including overtime and weekendsAll associates must embrace and foster an environment that supports our core values of Integrity, Respect, Excellence, Teamwork, and Accountability Within 3 months, you'llComplete required trainingHave developed relationships with the key stakeholdersBe well-versed in Atkore's Business System and the importance of your role to daily operationsAtkore is a four-time Great Place to Work© certified company and a two-time Top Workplaces USA award winner!
