Designs, lays out and constructs tools, molds and dies by performing the following duties.

Other duties may be assigned.Designs a wide variety of tools, molds, dies, jigs, fixtures and gauges where only tentative design concepts are available from engineers. Visualizes completed items to ensure ease of operation and maintenance in manufacturing setting.Performs development work and difficult tool room machine operations.Computes dimensions, plans layout, and determines assembly method and sequence of operations.Constructs, alters and repairs tools, molds and dies to very close tolerances.
