Essentra is looking to hire a 1st Shift Tool Maker in our Erie, PA location. As a Tool Maker, you will be responsible for constructing new tooling or replacement tooling to blueprint designs ensuring all dimensions are met. You will:* Build new tools to blueprints and documentation of steel dimensions* Troubleshoot and repair tools or mold bases* Troubleshoot manifold and controller problems* Provide support to Changeover, Production, Engineering and Quality teams* Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment.* Complete repair work orders.* Provide your own tools* Work overtime as needed based on the needs of the businessRequired:* Must have experience working with hot runner manifolds and controllers* Must have CNC programming experience* Forklift experience* Excellent knowledge of tool making procedures.* Good organization and planning skills* Can operate all manual tool room machines and equipment* Must be able to hold close tolerances consistently* Must have basic computer skills and knowledge* Work safely in a fast-paced environment.* Must be able to read and write in English* Must be willing to work 6:00am - 2:30pm* High school diploma or equivalent* 4 years tool & die apprenticeship or equivalent (working with plastic injection molds)* Additional functions as assigned by managementPreferred:* Working with injection molding machines and troubleshooting jobs* Overhead bridge crane experienceHeadquartered in the United Kingdom, Essentra's global network extends to 28 countries worldwide and includes over 3,000 employees, 14 manufacturing facilities, 24 distribution centers and 33 sales & service centers serving c.69,000 customers with a rapid supply of low cost but essential products for a variety of applications in industries such as equipment manufacturing, automotive, fabrication, electronics, medical and renewable energy.Essentra is an Equal Opportunity & E-Verify employer.
