There are many opportunities to get involved and we hope you will join us as we make a difference in the Lowcountry.BOSCH is a proud supporter of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Mathematics) Initiatives• FIRST Robotics (For Inspiration and Recognition of Science and Technology)• AWIM (A World In Motion)Job DescriptionTool maker position will machine various components to print specification using various conventional and/ or CNC machines.Must be able to select the correct machine for the job based on operations, precision, and complexity.Will be responsible for selecting the correct tooling and work holding based on the job.Must have knowledge of speeds and feeds based on different materials.Be able to create CNC programs using CAD/CAM and/or conversational programming and/or on-machine G code programming.Have ability to source/ select correct materials based job requirements.Knowledge of GD&T and inspection methods using toolroom gauges.QualificationsMust have a High School Diploma or GED equivalentTool-making apprenticeship completion or 5+ years toolmaking machining experience required.Journeyman status highly desiredMinimum four years of experience in precision machining, including turning, milling, ID (Internal Diameter), OD (Outer Diameter) & surface grindingWire EDM & conventional EDM experience a plusComputer aided machining (CAD/CAM) a plusExperience writing CNC programs is requiredExpert in various measurement tools, ID, OD and depth micrometers, height gage, manual CMM (Coordinate Measurement Machine)Expert in prints including geometric dimensionsWorking knowledge in materials, tools steels, aluminum and stainless steelsExperience in material heat treating including temperingMust be able to communicate effectively with supervision and other personnel with the ability to create clear technical instructionsFamiliar with Microsoft Office suite (Word, Excel)Must be able to function in a noisy and fast paced environmentDemonstrates self-initiativeMust demonstrate mechanical proficiency, leadership ability, and teamworkMust be willing to work on alternate shifts and must demonstrate the ability to adapt to changesMust be flexible to work other shifts for training, coaching, projects and travel as neededAdditional InformationIn addition to your base salary, Bosch offers a comprehensive benefits package that includes health, dental, and vision plans; health savings accounts (HSA); flexible spending accounts; 401(K) retirement plan with an employer match; wellness programs; life insurance; short and long term disability insurance; paid time off; parental leave, adoption assistance; and reimbursement of education expenses.
