Position DescriptionTool Maker Work to blueprints to machine and build fixtures. Essential Responsibilities:
- Plan proper sequence of tasks to meet final product design
- Work independently and as a team to meet completion dates.
- Must be willing to change priorities based on company needs.
- Maintains area, workbenches, equipment, and tooling in a neat, orderly condition
- Follow all Company policies, and regulations including good housekeeping, safety and security
- High school diploma and tool maker apprenticeship completion.
Qualifications:
- Must be able to perform tool maker shop mathematics
- Must have knowledge of machining principles and various machining technologies
- Must be able to operate variety of tool room machines
- Must be able to operate precision measurement tools
- Must be able to understand and follow instructions in English
- Must be able to understand and interpret blueprints
- Must have demonstrated mechanical ability
- Must be able to maintain close attention to detail and accuracy
- Must be able to manage time effectively
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Set up and operate Bridgeports, Prototraks, lathes, grinders, jig bores, etc
- Duties as required or necessary beyond this scope
