Job Title: TOOL MAKER General Purpose: Build and install tooling/dies according to specifications and operation. Details: Location: Bushnell, FL Hours Per Shift: 8 hours - Monday to Friday Pay: Starting pay $26.24+ Increase after 90 days Major Responsibilities/Activities (Essential duties and responsibilities include the following, but other duties may be assigned)
- Experience in the operation of CNC and manual Lathes, Milling machines, Grinders and general tool room equipment.
- Must be able to utilize precision measuring tools.
- Fits and assembles jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off, and tests tools and dies to produce a product to specification.
- Troubleshoots and repairs machinery and die sets. Focus on tooling.
- Reads and interprets blueprints or works from verbal or written instructions or from the part to be copied or fitted.
- Familiar with Sheet Metal Fabrication and manufacturing processes is a plus.
- Safety - Comply with all company and federal safety rules, policies and procedures to include wearing required safety equipment (PPE). Respond to safety concerns and taking appropriate action.
- Be able to perform in a team environment and also be self-directed as situations dictate.
- Computer - Must be proficient with a computer and have good communication skills. Proven working knowledge of CAD software is required.
- Welding experience is a plus.
- Building and repair of single stage and progressive dies
Education and/or experience Formal education or 3-5 years of tool making and repair experience or equivalent education/experience required.
