SUMMARY
Responsible for maintaining and monitoring inventory of tools and equipment. Must keep accurate track of the location of each tool and needs of production floor to fill tool and equipment requisitions, check tools in and out to appropriate personnel and clean and inspect tools.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES
- Issues tools to appropriate personnel and records transaction, maintaining accurate records.
- Requisition of new tools and equipment as needed, storing in tool crib appropriately.
- Repair and maintain tools stored in tool crib as needed.
- Maintain an inventory of all tools and supplies and report issues to supervisor as necessary.
- Perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
- Regular and reliable attendance.
- Customer service, verbal and written communication skills.
- Computer knowledge, experience with inventory, scheduling and ordering systems a must.
- 1+ years experience working in inventory or tool cribs; manufacturing environment preferred
- Must be familiar with various tools and their repair and maintenance.
- Basic math and inventory skills
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Frequent communication with others to exchange information.
- Frequent repetition of motions that may include the wrists, hands and/or fingers.
- Frequent moving about to accomplish tasks or moving from one worksite to another.
- Occasional adjusting or moving objects up to 20 pounds in all directions.
- Constantly remaining in a stationary position, often standing or sitting for prolonged periods.
- Constant use of computer for prolonged periods.
- Constantly thinking and processing information.
- Constantly maintaining concentration and focus on tasks.
