General Description:The Tool Room Attendant is responsible for inventory and control of tools located in Tool Room. This person must be organized and can communicate effectively with other team members, the flexibility to respond to a variety of requests and situations, evaluate and communicate information between numerous team leaders and locations, and prioritize and accomplish tasks with little, or no direct supervision.CCI Industrial Services provides quality-driven, cost-effective construction, maintenance, industrial cleaning, power generation, and transportation services to support resource development companies in Alaska and the lower 48 states.   • Reporting and addressing all potential safety concerns/incidents/issues promptly and willingly participate and assist in any investigation that may relate to a safety incident
  • Participating in safety meetings, work safely, and maintain a safe work environment as an employee and representative of CCI Industrial Services
  • Document and record any injury or near miss incident that may occur while you are working
  • Demonstrate and promote safe work practices by participating in JSA reviews, pre-job walk downs and safety START card preparations covering work activities and materials required by the company and the client.
  • Promote and participate in Safety Programs (PIRATE, STEP BACK)
  • Be a team player
  • Attend and participate in required meetings, trainings, exercises and drills.
  • Assist others on special project needs, when appropriate
  • Provide Foreman and Lead information and access to tools and goods located in Tool Room.
  • Perform shipping, receiving, and distribution functions for Tool Room under the direction of the CUI Planner and/or Foreman.
  • Assist purchasing to facilitate rush requests.
  • Maintains Tool Room inventory.
  • Disperses tools to CCI crews.
  • Assists with performing heavy lifting operations requiring operations support.
  • Manage multiple projects, priorities and competing demands simultaneously
  • Work independently with minimal supervision
  • Detail oriented.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
  • Ability to clearly speak, write, read, and understand the English language.
  • Interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work closely in a small shop
  • Ability to communicate effectively both verbally and in writing with personnel at all levels of the organization.
  • Ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
  • Ability to work independently.
  • Ability to work well with others.
  • Knowledge of computer software including; Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint required.
  • Skilled in basic computer programs, including the ability to take online training, email general reports and use Microsoft.

  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee regularly works on-site at the construction work site where the employee is exposed to moving mechanical parts; high precarious places; fumes or airborne particles; outside weather conditions and risk of electrical shock. The noise in these work environments is usually moderate to very loud.
  • Position may be working with potentially hazardous materials and wastes.
Physical Requirements:The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. A pre-hire post offer Functional Capacity Evaluation (FCE) will be conducted to determine an employee's ability to perform to the job standard. Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions.
  • MOBILITY: Must be able to access all controls and all parts of machinery for service. Must be able to push/pull 100 pounds for 20 feet. Shoveling up to 20 lbs. Frequent walking and standing. Occasional keyboard use, sitting, bending, twisting, and reaching.
  • HEARING: Must be able to hear audible safety alarms.
  • VISUAL ACUITY: Must be adequate to perform above listed tasks in a safe manner and take hand signals from ground man or flag man.
  • LIFTING: Must be able to routinely lift up to 70 pounds from floor to waist, 70 pounds from waist level to shoulder height and carry 50 pounds for 20 feet.
  • RANGE OF MOTION: An objective range of motion measurement will be conducted and recorded using a five position and rapid exchange grip strength test during the pre-hire/post offer FCE.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.
  • A valid driver's license is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED is preferred.
  • 1-2 years previous warehouse or expediting experience is preferred.
  • Carpentry or construction skills that lend to crating, palletizing, and securing equipment is preferred.
