Job Description:
Purpose: Tool room machinists are responsible for building fixtures, tooling, gages, and equipment to meet an engineering print using both CNC and manual mills and lathes. The machinist must be self-motivated to work independently to meet safety, quality, and scheduling goals for assigned work orders. Tool room machinists are responsible for supporting the company's mission statement and business objectives.Nature & Scope:The ideal candidate will have 5+ years' experience as a machinist or tool and die work, along with a machinist or T&D certification. They will have experience with Haas & TRAK CNC's, Conventional Lathes, Vertical Knee Mills, Surface Grinders and all other machine shop support equipment. Knowledge of Metallurgy, and heat treatment of commonly used tool steels a plus. They will work as a team with other machinists and shifts to meet work order schedule requirements and periodic maintenance on tool room equipment.Principal Accountabilities:• Complete assigned work orders safely, per engineering print in appropriate time.• Work with other machinists and departments to create tooling, fixturing, gauges, and equipment to meet production requirements.• Participate in continuous improvement and 5S projects• Team player able to meet flexible work requirements.• Adhere to company values and policies.• CNC programming and Vocation Technical school preferred• Equipment trouble shooting• Other duties as requiredEducation and Experience/Skills• High School Graduate or GED• Fast-paced team environment experience is preferred• Prior tool maker experience is required • Ability to interpret engineering drawings and analyze data• Computer skillsCompany: Delta Faucet CompanyShift 1 (United States of America)Full timeDelta Faucet Company (the Company ) is an equal opportunity employer and we want to have the best available persons in every job.
