PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES MAY INCLUDE THE FOLLOWING: o Engage in all aspects of Continuous Improvement and Tooling Cost Reductions.
- Tool testing and Reporting
- Identify potential cost savings
- Locate alternative product sources
o Work with manufacturers on Tooling improvements and problem resolution
- Support Manufacturer Tool Testing
- Tool Life Improvement
- Quality Improvements
o Tool Testing/Cost Savings Documentation o Focus on Through-Put Improvements o Manage the change process (Make sure all aspects of tool change have been completed) o Support the applicable staff in New Program Procurement o Support all Plant Engineers o Transact Business in SX as Required (Orders, POs, Receiving) o Procurement of assigned Plant Industrial Material o Prepare and Submit Quotations to Customers o Resolve Customer/Vendor Issues when Required
- Maintain proper inventory level
- Maintain database
- Ensure inventory accuracy thru cycle counts
- Transact product returns
- Trouble shoot problems
- Expedite Deliveries
o Personnel Interacting with:
- Manufacturer Sales & Service
- Machine Builders
- Customer Crib Personnel
- Customer Engineers & Plant Personnel
o Perform other miscellaneous activities as requested by Management o REQUIREMENTS o Bachelor or Associate degree in Engineering/Technology o Two years or more related industry experience o Knowledge in machining/cutting tool applications is a plus o Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications required (Word/Excel/PowerPoint) o Strong written and verbal communication skills o Excellent interpersonal skill Benefits Benefit offerings available for our associates include medical, dental, vision, life insurance, short-term disability, additional voluntary benefits, and a 401K plan.
