Our client is a leading Aerospace Forger, specializing in the production of custom Forged components for critical aerospace applications.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop new tooling systems, including dies, fixtures, and other related equipment, using CAD/3D modeling software (Catia and Solidworks).
- Analyze and optimize existing tooling systems to improve performance, reduce costs, and enhance product quality.
- Conduct feasibility studies and cost-benefit analyses for tooling projects.
- Create detailed tooling drawings and specifications.
- Oversee the fabrication, assembly, and testing of tooling systems.
- Provide technical support to manufacturing personnel during tooling setup and operation.
- Maintain accurate records of tooling design, fabrication, and maintenance.
- Stay updated on industry trends and technologies related to tooling design and manufacturing.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in tooling design and development for aerospace or related industries.
- Proficiency in CAD software, particularly Catia and Solidworks.
- Strong understanding of forging processes and tooling principles.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Experience with quality management systems (e.g., ISO 9001) is a plus.
