Tooling Engineer-Entry Level Mid Shift or 2nd Shift - Flexible Hours! SFS Group USA, Inc. is seeking a Tooling Engineer to join our team in Wyomissing, PA. You will be a key member of the manufacturing team by focusing on the hands-on process of designing dies and tooling for manufacturing to keep production running efficiently. This position offers a salary range $55,000-$75,000/anually. Key Responsibilities
- Developing prototypes and testing new designs.
- Carrying out quality assurance tests on new designs.
- Drafting blueprints for designs crafting the necessary pieces using Catia Software (CAD).
- Reads and understands blueprints and complicated schematics as required to create and build new fixtures, tools, and machine parts.
- Uses tools and dies to build fixtures; creates dies as required to construct new fixtures.
- Repairs dies, molds, and tools when needed; disassembles molds, jigs, tools, and fixtures, then reassembles when repaired.
- Inspects completed tools and dies for signs of imperfection or damage that may affect functionality.
- Regularly tests all equipment, tools, and machines to ensure they are arranged and set properly and working efficiently.
- Modifies machines to control speed, material feed, or path of cut as required to ensure a quality product is produced within specifications.
- Traveling to manufacturing plants on occasion to gather information and liaise with manufacturing and design teams.
- Maintains a safe, clean, and well-organized workspace.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
The Ideal Candidate
- 1-3+ years of experience in a similar role (internships can be considered)
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is required.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to safely and accurately operate all measuring and production equipment.
- Working understanding of geometry, trigonometry, and algebra.
- Ability to work independently, and with engineers and machinists.
- Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time
- Ability to lift up to 25-30lbs
