Job Title: Tooling Machinist (Levels I, II, and III) Responsible for operating a wide variety of machine tools, setup grinders, lathes, mills and other equipment as required. Support new tooling for new product introductions to ensure the robustness of product builds. Job Responsibilities:
- Operate and maintain lathe and milling machines.
- Review drawings, instructions, blueprints, or samples to ensure accurate production.
- Take precise measurements for cutting or shaping materials.
- Select appropriate machines and settings for each task.
- Plan the proper sequence of tasks to complete assignments efficiently.
- Monitor production, adjusting feed and other settings as necessary.
- Maintain an inventory of completed products and check output for quality assurance.
- Perform machine maintenance and minor repairs as needed.
- Maintain a safe and clean workstation.
- Contribute to team efforts by accomplishing related tasks as needed.
Requirements and Qualifications:
- Required:
- Excellent coordination and mechanical skills.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and safety.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in math and basic computer skills.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks.
- Knowledge of safety protocols.
- Preferred:
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Experience working with machine tools or in mechanical assembly.
- Apprenticeship or vocational training preferred.
