As a Permanent Tooling Technician, you will be an integral part of our dynamic manufacturing team. This role is an exciting opportunity for an experienced professional to work with cutting-edge technology, innovative solutions, and a wide range of injection molding processes. Responsibilities:
Your primary responsibilities as a Permanent Tooling Technician will include, but are not limited to:
Maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing injection molding tools and equipment to ensure optimal performance and minimal downtime.Conducting regular inspections of tooling equipment and machinery, identifying any potential issues and implementing preventative maintenance strategies.Collaborating with the production team to ensure tools and equipment are ready and available for scheduled production runs.Working closely with the engineering team to develop and implement new tooling designs and modifications to improve efficiency and product quality.Overseeing the installation and removal of tooling equipment, ensuring adherence to safety procedures and guidelines.Providing technical support and guidance to the production team, helping to resolve any tooling-related issues or concerns.Documenting all maintenance activities, creating detailed reports on tooling performance, maintenance schedules, and any identified issues or improvements.Keeping up-to-date with the latest industry trends, technologies, and best practices in tooling and injection molding.Qualifications:
To be considered for the Permanent Tooling Technician role, you should have the following qualifications:
A minimum of 5 years of experience in a tooling technician role within the manufacturing industry, preferably with a focus on injection molding.Profound knowledge of pneumatics and mechanical maintenance, with a proven track record of maintaining and repairing tooling equipment.Strong technical skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve tooling issues effectively and efficiently.Excellent communication skills, with the ability to work well in a team and provide clear and concise technical guidance.A strong understanding of safety procedures and guidelines within a manufacturing environment.The ability to work independently, manage your time effectively, and meet deadlines.A proactive approach, with the ability to identify potential issues and implement preventative maintenance strategies.A high level of attention to detail, with the ability to produce accurate and detailed reports.A relevant technical qualification or apprenticeship would be advantageous.Join us as a Permanent Tooling Technician and play a key role in driving our manufacturing processes forward.
