For all.Group SummaryThe Magna Exteriors portfolio of products includes access systems such as liftgates, exterior trim, modular systems, front-end modules including fascia, active aerodynamic systems and other lightweight structural components for automotive, commercial truck and other industrial markets.Recognized globally as an innovator in all aspects of vehicle exteriors, Magna provides everything needed, from materials development and design through manufacturing and assembly, to help automakers create sleek, state-of-the-art vehicles across the world.About the RoleThis position reports directly to the Mold Maintenance Manager and is responsible for the general and specific job duties as described below:Your ResponsibilitiesTo exhibit an objective, fair and professional attitude that exemplifies the principlesoutlined in The MAGNA Employee's Charter to maintain a positive and productiveworkplace.To follow Decostar policies and display conduct expected of Decostar employees asdescribed in the employee handbook.Ensure that you follow company policies and business objectives in the dailysupervision of the operations of the company.To exhibit teamwork and leadership skills and actively participate in team activities ina positive working environment.To demonstrate problem solving skills in a work environment that is striving forcontinuous improvement.To support all customer quality standards as well as the standards of Decostar.To perform daily cross-functional job assignments as required and per thedepartment's established procedures and work instructions.Ensure a spirit of respect, cooperation, ethical conduct and fair dealing in all ouroperations between our internal, external customers and suppliers.Your preferred qualificationsTo direct and follow Decostar Industries health and safety policies and proceduresthat provide for a safe and healthful workplace for all Decostar Industries employees,contractors and visitors.Exemplify the Charter principle for a safe and healthful workplace by correctingunsafe behaviors, eliminate or reduce the possibility of an employee injury due tohazardous conditions.Immediately respond, in a positive and proactive manner to any Decostaremployee's health and safety concern or suggestion.Immediacy report any accidents, incidents or near misses to the Safety Departmentand complete the required Accident Reporting Forms within 24 hours.Complete all required safety-related inspections.Do not install or make changes to any equipment or machinery that may jeopardizethe health and safety of any employee.Ensure all employees, under your guidance, have received all required training toperform their job safelyExecute modifications or repairs of molds within specified time schedules.Organize modifications and repairs to molds and provide all information required toproduction departments to allow for scheduling and completion of work.Understand Decostar tooling specifications and ensure all production tools meet therequirements.Keep an open issue list for each tool, including open work orders for preventivemaintenance, repairs, and modifications.Assist molding department technicians by troubleshooting tooling related failures.Communicate with the CMMS Coordinator to maintain accurate and up-to-datedocumentation regarding mold maintenance, repair, and parts inventory.Check water system connections and ensure circuits are operating at maximumefficiency.Communicate and follow up on finished results to ensure final product meetscustomer specifications.Support team efforts to improve quality, cost and timing of mold repairs or changesand work in a manner that contributes to meeting or exceeding departmentperformance objectives.Perform all work in an efficient manner and make efficient use of materials and toolroom supplies and inventories.Execute lock out / tag out procedures as required on all molding departmentequipment and facilities.Maintain a high departmental standard of cleanliness in the Injection Molding andRIM molding areas.Display professional conduct when dealing with customers both at Decostar and offsite as required.Perform other duties as directed.Who we are looking forAssociate's Degree in a technical field of study required. 5 years work relatedexperience may be substituted in lieu of degree.
