DescriptionEssential Duties and Responsibilities include the following. (Other duties may be assigned.)Program and build molds to support production and prototyping.Create Numerical Control programs from solid models using Computer Aided Drafting and Computer Aided Manufacturing software.Creates solid prototypes to test engineering concepts.Advises Engineering or Mold Center on concepts in regards to machining capabilities.Makes fixtures or tools as needed for Production or Quality Control areas.Carries out preventative maintenance and minor repairs on CNC machine, band saw, or other equipment.Schedule equipment repairs from outside technical sources as needed.Assist machinists and machine operators.Responsible for the effective performance of the above stated responsibilities.Accountable for the prudent stewardship of department assets and their proper risk management.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
