Summary: The Tool Room Mold Maintenance Technician is responsible for the maintenance, repair, and preventative maintenance of molds used in production. This role involves troubleshooting, cleaning, and repairing molds to ensure they are in optimal working condition for production, as well as maintaining tool room equipment and supplies. Responsibilities:
  • Perform routine maintenance, cleaning, and repairs on production molds, ensuring they are ready for operation.
  • Disassemble, inspect, and repair molds using various hand tools and machining equipment.
  • Troubleshoot mold issues and identify root causes, ensuring minimal downtime in production.
  • Assist in mold setup, adjustments, and calibration as needed to ensure proper function.
  • Maintain and organize tool room equipment, ensuring all tools and parts are in proper working condition.
  • Keep accurate records of mold maintenance and repairs, including logging preventative maintenance activities.
  • Collaborate with the production team to address mold-related issues and implement improvements.
  • Maintain a safe and clean work environment by adhering to safety standards and protocols.
  • Assist with the fabrication and modification of tools and parts as needed.
  • Perform all other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in mold maintenance or tool and die work, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification in mold maintenance, tool and die, or a related field is a plus.
  • Strong mechanical aptitude with experience in the use of hand tools, machining equipment, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and schematics.
  • Strong problem-solving skills with attention to detail and the ability to work independently.
  • Familiarity with safety protocols and standards in a manufacturing or tool room environment.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. and stand for extended periods of time.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with team members.
Shift Details 1st Shift is M-TH, 4 X 10-hour shifts, 6:30 am - 5:00 pm. All employees are expected to work overtime hours as needed. Overtime is typically twice a month on Fridays and are 8-hour shifts.
