Job Description:

Landmark Educational Tours, a premier tour operator based in Middleton, Massachusetts, is looking for enthusiastic and dedicated individuals to fill seasonal positions as Landmark Leaders (Tour Managers). Our team works year-round to craft personalized itineraries for private group tours, and we need exceptional leaders to guide these unforgettable experiences. We're seeking candidates who are ready to start training immediately for the current travel season. Ideal applicants will be available from Winter 2024 through the end of June 2025.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead private groups to historical sites, museums, and excursions across the U.S., while providing knowledge about the destination to the group.
  • Manage trip materials, including tickets, confirmation codes, vouchers, cash, checks, receipts, contracts, and other essential documents.
  • Reconfirm all reservations in advance to ensure accuracy.
  • Professionally greet and interact with head chaperones, travelers, and vendors.
  • Handle group check-ins at designated attractions, meals, and hotels.
  • Follow established itineraries while discreetly troubleshooting any logistical or timing issues that arise.
  • Communicate any concerns or problems promptly and professionally with the appropriate parties.
  • Engage with travelers of all ages, adjusting presentations and dialogue to suit elementary through college-level groups.
  • Complete all required documentation accurately and in a timely manner.
  • Arrive ahead of schedule to all appointments, staying with the group before and after events.
  • Collaborate closely with chaperones, vendors, and fellow Landmark Leaders, particularly on multi-bus tours.
  • Ensure the health and safety of all travelers throughout the trip.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree or have proven experience in travel-tourism or hospitality management.
  • Strong interest or experience working with students of all ages is essential.
  • Must be willing to travel.
  • Demonstrates a high level of professionalism at all times.
  • Ability to proactively troubleshoot trip-related issues.
  • Able to remain calm and perform well under pressure.
  • Must own a smartphone.
  • Open availability during the tour season, including weekends and holidays.
