Position Summary: Responsible for the day-to-day management of the tournament office and all administrative aspects of the Simmons Bank Championship.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
* Office administration including supplies, subscriptions, mailings, etc.
* Information technology
* Answer phone and greet guests
* Arrange office meetings
* Serve as main contact for player and agent needs and requests
* Keep tournament information up to date for players
* Negotiate contracts, blocks and room rates for players, caddies, and partner hotels
* Act as main contact for players, caddies and partner guests
* Oversee player transportation
* Collect player flight information and assign tournament vehicles
* Work with transportation volunteer committee to ensure all players have a car
* Oversee and negotiate contracts, blocks, and room rates for caddie hotels
* Setup players check-in/concierge area
* Work with player services volunteer committee
* Provide necessary items in player locker room/lounge area
* Oversee player, family activities and communicate information about Draw Party
* Work closely with Simmons Bank finance team on billing and collections
* Assist with all tournament creative including building sponsorship proposals
* Oversee the recruitment, training, and management of tournament interns
* Special events including junior clinic, women's day, etc.
* Staff travel logistics
* Assist the Tournament Director as needed
* Other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
* Proficient computer skills in Microsoft Office products, PowerPoint, Canva, and QuickBooks
* Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
* Detail oriented and organized with the ability to work on multiple projects at once
* Creative abilities with experience in social and digital media
* Able to work a flexible schedule including long hours, weekends, and some holidays
* Exceptional verbal and written communication/presentation skills
* Highest degree of ethics and professional conduct
* Confident, pro-active, creative, and collaborative style that assimilates well within a team
Education/Experience:
* Bachelor's degree - Specialization in Sports Management, Accounting, or Event Planning preferred
* 3 years' experience in Event Planning, Office Management, and/or experience in sporting events
