Join the Ellsworth Cooperative Creamery - Menomonie location for great benefits, paid time off and more! This position works four-10 hour shifts: 8:00am to 6:00pm Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday. No weekends and off Wednesdays! Starting wage is $20.00/hr, then increase to $22.00/hr at 120 days! Job Title: Tower OperatorReports to: Production SupervisorSupervises: NoneHours: 8:00am - 6:00pm, working on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and FridayLocation: MenomonieGeneral Description: The Tower Operator is responsible for operating the block forming towers. Along with boxing, weighing, and palletizing 40# blocks. You are required to foster an environment of trust and open communication while developing your talent for your future and the future of the organization. This position must practice and mentor the safety of all employees while producing a quality product. In this position you must interact well with all other departments of the Cooperative. Duties and Responsibilities:•Perform Pre-op inspections of equipment.•Set towers up for production•Operate Tower system during start up, production, and CIP.•Operation of scale fusion system•Proper labelling of blocks and pallets•Safe operation of pallet jacks•Clear communication with the finishing table operators•Wash external parts of the tower system.•Wash tower mezzanine.•Lab sampling as assigned.•Willingness to learn other positions.•Perform minor maintenance of equipment as trained and assigned.•Properly record production data as needed.•Maintain a sanitary workspace according to the Good Manufacturing Practices.•Maintain open communications with all departments.•Follow all current company policies and procedures.•All other duties appropriate to the position or as assigned.RequirementsRequired (Basic) Education / Experience/ Competencies and Other Skills:•Able to read and follow directions.•Good communication skills in both verbal and written. •Computer knowledge preferred, but we will train as needed•High school diploma, equivalent or eagerness to learn and work in the dairy industry.Physical Demands•Ability to lift 55+ lbs. repetitively.•Stand for up to 8 hours per shift.•Squatting, Kneeling, Bending and use of stairs•Pass a drug & alcohol screen as well as a general background check.Work Environment / Environment Condition:•Food plant environment. Must adhere to all food and plant safety policies and regulations.Salary Description $20.00/hr, then increase to $22.00 at 120 days!
