Cross Product Trade Support Analyst - Hedge FundTrade Support Analyst - Hedge Fund - New York Our client is one of the world's leading hedge funds, with a diverse range of investment strategies across all major asset classes. With $4 billion in assets under management, they specialize in long/short equity and fixed income strategies. Due to organic growth in the US, they require an experienced Middle Office Trade Support professional to join their Trade Support group in Midtown. Reporting to the Head of US Operations, you will be responsible for working alongside Portfolio Managers across the United States, ensuring the trade lifecycle flows smoothly. Taking the lead in facing off to custodians and prime brokers, you will be instrumental in driving efficiencies in the group, using VBA/Python skills, as well as interfacing with Technology. The Role:
- Provide support to Portfolio Managers, managing breaks and exceptions across multiple asset classes, including Cash Equity, Fixed Income, OTC Derivatives, and Futures
- Perform maintenance on trades - including cash and position reconciliation, and amendments
- Process and reconcile daily trades across various product types
- Perform daily P&L calculations and reconciliations for various financial instruments
- Work closely with management and technology to identify and implement process improvements
- Assist with the build out of an operational risk and control framework
- Daily interaction with clients, vendors, custodians, and external counterparties
The Candidate:
- Bachelor's degree with a minimum of 3.5 GPA is essential
- 3+ years' experience supporting Equities (ETF, Stock, Swaps) and Fixed Income, at either a Fund or Bank
- Strong understanding of financial markets, products, and trade lifecycle
- Proven track record of process improvements
- Technical skills: VBA and Python skills strongly desired, SQL experience is a plus
- Experience of adding value and improving the risk and control environment in a previous role
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and experience with financial software platforms
- Articulate with excellent communication skills
- Detail oriented
- Ability to work in a fast-paced team environment
