Accordingly, we are searching for an experienced Equities Trader to join our client's talented team in Indianapolis. You will preferably reside in the area,but our client is open to remote options with limited travel to Indianapolis for training, meetings, etc. In this role, you will be responsible for optimizing the firm's trading, including utilizing their algorithmic-based trading system, conducting applicable research, etc. In this role, you will have an opportunity to work trade in both domestic and international equity markets. Desired experiences, traits, and attributes may include:- Commercial vs. Retail equities trading experience, including experience trading and risk management for large positions. This should include DMA (Direct Market Access) level experience.- International trading experience, including the ability to work international market hours as necessary.- Ideal candidates may have experience in Hedge Funds or larger commercial brokerages.- Strong experience in the execution of trades.- Needs to have been trading in the millions of dollars just to be in the right ball park.- Experience with OMS (Bloomberg, Charles River, etc.).- Strong data analytics skills with advanced Excel and knowledge of Python, SQL, etc. preferred- Advanced certifications, such as a CFA (level 3 preferred), FRM (Financial Risk Manager) and active trading licenses are considered a plus.Responsibilities:- Execute trades efficiently and accurately, often involving large positions- Utilize experience from working with Hedge Funds or brokerages to inform decision-making- Bring a strong understanding of commercial business to the role- Use Direct Market Access (DMA) for trading equities- Utilize Order Management Systems (OMS) such as Bloomberg or Charles River to manage trades- Apply knowledge from a Certified Financial Analyst (CFA) or Financial Risk Manager (FRM) qualification to provide more analysis into trading activities- Maintain flexibility in working hours to accommodate international trading schedules- Bring experience in commodities trading, similar to roles in larger companies like Archer Daniels- Ensure the effective execution of trades, drawing on experience from Hedge Funds or Private Equity Funds- Trade in the millions of dollars to meet the scale of our operations.Requirements - Must hold a minimum of 3 years of experience in a trading role- Proficiency in Equities and Trading is essential- Experience with Bloomberg software is required- Strong analytical and mathematical skills- Excellent decision-making abilities under pressure- Proven track record of successful trading- A deep understanding of financial markets and trading procedures- Strong communication and negotiation skills- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment- Bachelor's degree in finance, business, economics, or related field preferred- Regulatory awareness and compliance knowledge- Excellent problem-solving skills and strategic thinking- High level of integrity and professional ethics.Robert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
