When required to operate motor vehicles, candidates must possess a valid New York State driver's license appropriate for the type of vehicle to be operated.

Duties Description Duties include, but are not limited to:
- Perform Journeyman level mason and plasterer duties.
- Plan, lay out, and complete masonry and plastering work - including preparing job estimates and ordering supplies.
- Working knowledge of methods, materials, tools, and equipment used in the mason trade.
- Perform restoration work on historic buildings and structures to maintain the original fabric of the building.
- Lay building materials such as stone, brick, concrete, and cinder blocks to repair walls, partitions, firebrick linings in furnaces and chimneys.
- Smooth and finish surfaces of poured concrete floors, walls, and sidewalks.
- Apply coats of plaster to walls and ceilings, including the preparation of surface, mixing of plaster, application of plaster and erection of scaffolding if needed.
- Will be required to train and supervise others.
- Operate light trucks, passenger vehicles, tractors, landscape equipment and other small equipment.
Additional Comments OPERATING NEEDS:
- May work weekends and various shifts, holidays and special events. Specific schedule will be discussed at the time of interview.
- Selected candidate must possess a New York State Motor Vehicle Operator's License by date of appointment and maintain it as a term and condition of employment.
- Possession of a Class A or B CDL is preferred.
- Ability to prepare job estimates, maintain inventory and stock control, and order shop supplies.
- Must be able to perform medium to heavy physical labor, and able to work from heights.
- Follow appropriate safety standards.
- Previous supervisory experience is preferred.
