Base Operations at Page Field is an award-winning, fixed-based operator and has been recognized for its customer service and facilities.A $331 million Terminal Expansion Project is currently underway at RSW to improve the airport travel experience by consolidating the security checkpoints, adding concession space and providing passengers more amenities and options. The Terminal Expansion Phase 2 Project will begin in fall 2024 and add Concourse E with 14 gates, expand the Chiller Plant Facility, as well as make other associated terminal, landside and airside improvements.The Lee County Port Authority is seeking a skilled and highly motivated technician to join our electrical and mechanical team, where you will enjoy a positive and supportive work environment in a challenging and rewarding career in the aviation industry. This role involves maintaining and repairing critical electrical and mechanical systems in a fast-paced airport environment. You should be able to troubleshoot, problem solve and work with state-of-the-art equipment. We provide all the necessary tools to support your work, have a safety shoe reimbursement program and a uniform program, including optional laundry service, so you can focus on your tasks.The anticipated starting hourly rate for the ideal candidate is between $19.20 - $23.04Key Responsibilities* Troubleshoot, inspect and perform preventive maintenance of electrical and mechanical equipment* Install and repair electrical systems (energy management)* Maintain and repair jet bridges (controls, PLCs, drives and sensors)* Maintain industrial air handlers, pumps and HVAC systems* Perform basic and finish carpentry to include cabinets, shelving and paneling* Plumbing repair (fixture, septic/sewer lines, water sources and lift stations)* Tile, plaster, cement, masonry work, caulking and painting, including bathroom renovation and flooring* Safety complianceMinimum Requirements* Must be able to communicate and follow written and oral instructions in English.* A high school diploma/GED is required.* One year of experience as an industrial maintenance technician, HVAC mechanic or electrician is required.* A Florida Driver's License is required and a CDL is preferred.* Hold a valid Certificate of Competency for Lee County or the state of Florida.
