The Energy Authority (TEA) is looking for motivated and ambitious individuals eager to gain hands-on experience across the North American Power and Gas markets. This multi-month program with our Jacksonville trading team will put you right at the heart of transactional and analytical support for TEA's East Real-Time and Day-Ahead Trading Desks.As a Trading Intern, you won't just be shadowing - you'll be contributing! You'll get the chance to participate in a variety of client engagement activities and reporting efforts while developing skills essential to the energy trading industry. What You'll Be Doing:
- Accurately recording trades across various terms and products in the booking system
- Analyzing deal flow and collaborating with settlement teams to assess liquidated damages
- Monitoring portfolio strategies and providing performance metrics reports to managers
- Identifying process improvements and updating documentation
- Managing multiple client portfolios in real time
- Monitoring real-time data feeds to offer timely, reliable responses to changing conditions
- Coordinating resource scheduling to meet system obligations
- Gaining hands-on knowledge of the Power Management and Trading environment
Your Skill Set:
- Currently working towards a bachelor's or master's degree in accounting, business, engineering, finance, economics, math, statistics, or a related field
- Strong communication, problem-solving, and time management skills
- A passion for thriving in fast-paced, collaborative environments
- Advanced Microsoft Office skills, with a focus on Excel; programming experience (Visual Basic, Python, etc.) is a plus
