Description KENTUCKY TRANSPORTATION CABINETTRAFFIC COUNT TECHNICIANCalloway & Associates, Inc., a Raleigh, NC based company, is seeking a Traffic Count Technician for our client, the Kentucky Transportation Cabient.The candidate will be responsible for providing traffic oversight across the state. Permanent sites that collect volume, speed, vehicle classification and truck weight data 24 hours per day, 365 days per year. Information from these sites is used to determine traffic growth and trends as well as develop seasonal adjustment factors used in determining estimates of annual average daily traffic (AADT) and directional design hour volume (DDHV).The sites utilize a variety of sensors and arrays to collect data including inductive loops, piezoelectric axle sensors, and non-intrusive acoustic sensors.Calloway & Associates, Inc.is an equal opportunity employer and prohibits discrimination and harassment of any type. - High school diploma; some college preferred
- Ability to understand and utilize technical equipment
- Excellent attention to detail
- Dependable
- Home- based in Frankfort, but there would be a lot of traveling across the state involved
- Ability to maintain permanent automatic traffic recorders or loops in the road with the associated equipment
Full-Time/Part-Time Full-Time Compensation Salary Range: $19 - $32 based upon experience.
