As part of the team, you'll contribute to innovative private and public developments across DC, Maryland, and Virginia. Working closely with project managers and mission-driven engineers, you'll help deliver technical excellence and creative solutions for a variety of multimodal transportation projects. Essential Responsibilities:

  • Work toward proficiency in the current software(s) packages/programs used by the firm and perform analyses using Vistro, Sidra, Synchro and SimTraffic.
  • Prepare conceptual intersection layouts, schematics, signal timings and engineering reports.
  • Prepare signing and pavement marking plans.
  • Design and create technical documents in AutoCAD and/or Microstation.
  • Prepare truck and vehicle turning exhibits using AutoTURN.
  • Collaborate with engineers and designers to research, analyze, and resolve complex transportation issues.
  • Assist in preparing Transportation Demand Management plans.
  • Apply current Local, State & Federal design and zoning standards and regulations to ensure compliance.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering
  • Relevant (work, internship, or academic) exposure to transportation/traffic engineering and planning
  • Exposure to Synchro, Vistro, Sidra, SimTraffic, or other relevant transportation analysis or modelling software.
  • Passion for collaboration throughout the development and execution of projects.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
