What You'll Do:
  • Coordinate and oversee the maintenance and repair of traffic signals, signage, and roadway markings.
  • Develop schedules and prioritize tasks to ensure smooth traffic operations.
  • Troubleshoot traffic signal systems and ensure compliance with standards like MUTCD.
  • Lead contractors and staff, ensuring quality, safety, and timely project completion.
  • Respond to emergencies and support the Traffic Control Center during peak hours or special events.
  • Recommend updates to policies and procedures to enhance service delivery.
What You Bring:
  • Education & Experience:
  • Associate's Degree in civil engineering, technology, or a related field (Bachelor's preferred).
  • At least 3 years (5 preferred) of experience in traffic engineering, control systems, or public works.
  • Project management expertise is a plus.
  • Skills & Knowledge:
  • Strong understanding of traffic signals, signage, and adaptive traffic systems.
  • Knowledge of AC/DC electrical wiring and electronic traffic control devices.
  • Familiarity with MUTCD standards and traffic management tools.
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving, and contractor management skills.
  • Licensing: A valid Georgia driver's license.
