The Traffic Supervisor is responsible for assisting with the operation and management of traffic control and parking lot management during a seasonal light show. Pay Rate: $14.00 per hour Major Duties/Specific Tasks
- Supervises part-time staff members.
- Assists with show operations by managing parking, directing traffic, understanding traffic flow and patterns, and monitoring parking situations to maximize space.
- Responsible for daily set up and break down of parking lot directional signage.
- Assists with customer service by greeting park visitors, handling inquiries, providing information and assistance, and informing patrons of rules and regulations.
- Performs a variety of duties including custodial tasks.
- Attends and participates in staff trainings as scheduled.
- Reports unsafe conditions to Manager on Duty.
- Carries out additional duties as assigned by the Park Management or Supervisor on Duty.
Minimum Qualifications
- Must be age 18 or over.
- Ability to communicate effectively and courteously with the public.
- Ability to learn the operation of the light show and to obtain a working knowledge of NOVA Parks.
- Strength and dexterity necessary to perform all required tasks, including lifting, stooping, bending, and working in tiring and uncomfortable positions.
- Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions.
- Ability to multi-task and complete various tasks at hand.
- Availability to work a variable work schedule, which includes evening hours, weekends, and holidays.
- Required to wear uniform, safety vest. and utilize traffic wand.
