Fleet Services By Cox Automotive is currently hiring Lift Gate Installation Trailer Mechanic position for our Indianapolis shop on a 1st Shift. Duties and Responsibilities: Install lift gate systems on various types of commercial trailers and trucks Run wiring for solar panels, electronic equipment and other trailer systems Install and troubleshooting hydraulic plumbing and associated components Perform work in an efficient and quality manner without compromising your safety or that of those around you. Use basic hand tools, precision instruments, as well as power tools, welding equipment, and jacks. Maintain a high level of productivity and be able to work within or close to most standard repair times. Perform all work in compliance with organizational safety, health and environmental policies, and federal regulations, to include OSHA, EPA, and DOT. Participate and complete all-in company required safety training. To be considered for a Trailer Technician position you should have the following: Minimum 1 years experience as a Trailer Technician or related position. Training in repair of hydraulic lift gates preferred Knowledge of trailer air systems and wiring. Welding experience preferred Valid Drivers License required. CDL-A preferred but not required. High School Diploma or and equivalent combination of education is a plus but not required. Must provide own hand tools that are adequate to perform job functions. Positive attitude, Safety conscious, good instincts, and self-motivation Excellent organizational skills and the ability to balance a variety of tasks.
