RequirementsSeeking an individual who has:
- Mechanical knowledge of machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance.
- Technical knowledge of electronic equipment, computer hardware, and software used to diagnose vehicle issues.
- A solid grasp of local, state, and federal DOT laws, policies, and procedures for protecting people, data, property, and institutions.
- Familiarity with transportation principles and methods for moving goods by road, including the relative costs and benefits.
- Time management skills for self and others.
- The ability to communicate with other tractor shop employees and supervisors to rectify problems such as missing parts and time constraints.
- All candidates must pass a pre-employment drug test as part of our commitment to a safe, drug-free workplace.
Education/Experience:
- High School Diploma or equivalent andDiesel Engine Specialist or related degree from a secondary institution.
- Two years of experience in a complementary position is preferred.
- We provide training for entry-level technicians.
- Commercial Driver's License is recommended but not necessary.
