The Position: The role of the Trailer Sales Consultant is to maintain and grow relationships with small and medium-sized accounts, while achieving an assigned sales and gross profit goal. Reporting to the Regional Sales Manager, the Consultant is expected to retain and expand existing business, while pursuing profitable growth opportunities in underserved markets and responding to marketing qualified leads. The Trailer Sales Consultant interacts with customers through a combination of telephone, email, and face-to-face meetings.
Responsibilities:
WHAT YOULL DO
- Achieve assigned sales, profitability, and lead conversion targets.
- Create a strategic account plan to develop new business from existing accounts, penetrate underserved markets, and actively seek new sales opportunities.
- Leverage Salesforce and other account management software to effectively and efficiently manage and document customer and prospect interactions.
- Understand customer needs and requirements and communicate them internally to ensure the development of solutions that address those needs.
- Manage all items associated with the sales process to anticipate potential problems and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Build and maintain strong, long-lasting customer relationships with assigned accounts.
- Support the efforts of other regional sales colleagues on customers with overlapping responsibilities or when requested by the Regional Sales Manager.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and developments; share relevant information with internal stakeholders.
- Attend customer meetings, trade shows, conferences, and other events as needed to represent the company and its products/services.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
YOUR SKILLS AND ABILITIES (REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS)
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Marketing, or relevant field preferred but not required.
- 1-3 years of sales experience in a business-to-business sales environment.
- Basic knowledge of sales strategy and sales methodologies
- Basic knowledge of the sales process from prospecting to close
- Prior track record of achievement in positions with accountability metrics or sales quotas.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, Microsoft PowerBI, Salesforce CRM, and other company-specific software preferred.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, presentation, and written communication skills
- Travel as required to support customer-facing meetings, Corporate Sales meetings and events
