Make a difference, come join the team!What's the role?This position will have a variety of tasks within the department with minimal supervision. Must have intermediate optical knowledge. Cross training will be required within the lab and may include:Sound Interesting?Here's what you'll do:Maintaining appropriate production reports.Understanding of lens coatings.Understanding of optical equipment and troubleshooting.Intermediate level lens inspection.Knowledge of DVI operating system (or compatible).Ability to consult with customers on various issues.Purchasing / receiving of lenses and / or frames.Invoicing and billing.Tinting of lenses.Produce drill mounts.Package sorting and shipping.Organizational skills.Blocking, spot, taping and foco.Performs routine and semi-routine production duties associated with various aspects of lens production paying close attention to quality, quantity and efficiency. Refer to the Job Matrix for further departmental specifics.Qualifies and inspect product to ensure compliance with CZV specifications and standards.Employ troubleshooting techniques to determine cause of instrument failure and implement repairs where necessaryComplies with all safety regulations as well as maintains a clean and safe work environment.Maintain appropriate written and/or computer documentation.Generally assigned certain tasks within a specified department but has knowledge to perform majority of the tasks within a specified department.May receive cross training in other departments.Maintains a clean working environment.Follows safety standards and reports any safety concerns to leadership.Do you qualify?Full knowledge of at least one department and basic knowledge of the entire lab Must be able to sit or stand for prolonged periods of timeAbility to perform repetitive movements with upper and lower extremitiesAbility to sustain lengthy periods of visual concentration and good hand/eye/foot coordinationAbility to work in a fast-paced, multi-task production environmentAbility to focus for long periods of timeEye for attention to detail and symmetrySolid dexterity and mechanical skillsPatience to fully see the task through is a mustHonest, dependable and be able to follow directions either written or verbalExceptional attendance recordGood verbal and written communication with ability to communicate with other associates in a clear, concise mannerAbility to read English and identify number recognitionAnalytical and problem-solving skillsAbility to use of personal protective equipmentAbility to sit, stand, twist and bend for extended periods of time.Ability to follow safety guidelines with the ability to identify and understand safety itemsMust have a flexible schedule and be able to work overtime when neededAbility to work in a team setting or independently, as neededDesire to learnProfessional demeanor with a positive attitude and approach to workIntermediate optical knowledgeWe have amazing benefits to support you as an employee at ZEISS!Medical (HSA, PPO, HRA, plus!
