Breaktime is rapidly expanding as an organization, and there are significant opportunities for advancement.Program OverviewBreaktime's core program is three-pronged-Launchpad, Liftoff, and Stable Orbit-with Launchpad as our Young Adults' (Associates) entry point. Launchpad is a facilitated curriculum centered around Breaktime's 6 Essentials of Success (attendance, punctuality, communication, engagement, professionalism, and being equipped) that provides introductory education about professional development, financial empowerment, and personal growth. Launchpad is offered in person for 3 weeks on-site at our Boston office or externally via a Satellite partner organization or virtually 2 nights a week over 6 weeks. Role Overview: The Training Coordinator (TC) is a passionate, driven, and empathic individual who will primarily facilitate Breaktime's Launchpad Curriculum and support other training team projects. The TC will be able to facilitate the Launchpad Curriculum across modalities-in person, virtually, and as we expand Breaktime's geographical reach (Satellite in various parts of MA). Please note that virtual Launchpad has evening hours (12:45-8:45 pm Tuesdays & Thursdays for 6 weeks) and is offered 3-4 times a year at this time, with the potential for more frequent offerings. Reports to: Senior Manager of TrainingRoles and Responsibilities
  • Facilitate 15-50% of Breaktime's Launchpad programming in support of the Senior Training Coordinator.
  • Support associates in adhering to Breaktime and Launchpad-specific policies, including opportunities for Associates to make up work.
  • Serve as point of contact for Associates to coordinate logistics (i.e., call-outs, scheduling make-ups, etc.) during Launchpad.
  • Maintain electronic records by documenting case notes, surveys, and other data into Salesforce.
  • Support implementation of program modifications for virtual classroom settings and satellite Launchpads.
  • Facilitate occasional workshops in the Flight Boosters programming.
Broader Training Team Responsibilities
  • Support expansion and maintenance of partnerships for the training team, including nonprofit partners, government partners, and corporate engagement.
  • Collaborate on cross-departmental initiatives.
  • Contribute to the Training team's efforts to update and implement curriculum changes.
  • Support Flight Booster programming as needed.
  • Other administrative and research duties as needed.
Job Requirements:
  • A clear, unwavering commitment to elevating the power and potential of Young people. A desire and ability to model appropriate professional behavior to Young Adults.
  • Previous experience 1) working with Young Adults and/or people experiencing homelessness/housing instability AND/OR 2) lived experience as someone experiencing homelessness/housing instability.
  • Capacity to travel to a variety of sites throughout Eastern MA. Car and driver's license strongly suggested.
  • Excellent verbal communication skills and comfort when speaking to various stakeholders (Young Adults, coworkers across departments, and partners).
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-evolving environment.
  • Stellar time-management skills and ability to work relatively independently.
    • This position rotates between in-person and virtual, so holding yourself accountable to deadlines independently is important.
  • Comfort with conflict resolution, particularly with Young Adults.
    • Ability to manage classroom settings and individual meetings to help associates remain accountable.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • [Preferred] Two years previous facilitation/classroom experience.
