The Training Coordinator will work with the Manager of Outreach & Education to develop, evaluate, and implement community education and training curricula in accordance with the policies and goals of the Agency.Essential FunctionsDesigns and evaluates sexuality education curricula for In Control members and other community groupsAssists Manager of Outreach & Education in the monitoring and evaluation of programsAssists Manager of Outreach & Education in the monitoring, evaluation, and supervision Programs Department education staffFacilitates scheduling and assigning staff with educational programs and presentationsWorks collaboratively with the Finger Lakes Region School Boards of Education staff to develop and evaluate appropriate curriculaPromotes and facilitates educational and informational services to teachers, students, and parents in selected schoolsResponsible for the development, review, selection, ordering, and evaluation of resource materials which enhance education programming and the Agency's role as a community resource and training centerMarkets CAPP and PPCWNY education programs in coordination PPCWNY's Marketing and Communications Department by developing and maintaining community contacts via phone, mail, media, networking, etc.Ensures all agency programming and curricula is current and functioning as measured by monthly reportsSchedules regular meetings with Manager of Outreach & Education to report on projects, goals, progress, and assistance neededRepresents InControl in a professional manner within appropriate forums, coalitions, etc., and uses those opportunities to increase participation in PPCWNY programs and to further agency goalsShows respect to all internal and external customers for differences in backgrounds, lifestyles, viewpoints and needs in areas such as race, gender, ethnicity, creed, sexual orientation and othersOther Accountability ActivitiesAids in the orientation of newly hired Finger Lakes Region education staffSupports the development of Train the Trainer programs for PPCWNY Finger Lakes Region education staff, coalition members, and other professionalsFacilitates staff development and training for staff when appropriateSupports the Programs department in maintaining agency resourcesPrepares relevant sections of government grants as necessaryAttends educational and training seminars relevant to job responsibilitiesPerforms other duties as assigned by Manager of Outreach & EducationRequirementsQualificationsApplicants must possess the following qualifications (or equivalent combination of education and experience):Education:Bachelor's degree in Education, Health Education, Social Science or a related field preferred, or equivalent combination of education and experienceExperience:Minimum of 2 years' experience in family planning or sexual education curriculum development and delivery strongly preferredKnowledge, Skills, & Abilities:General PC skills needed (MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)Excellent verbal and written communication skillsMust have reliable transportation and a valid NYS driver's license not in jeopardy of being revokedPlanned Parenthood seeks candidates who have proficiency in one of the following languages, including but not limited to: Spanish, Nepali, Arabic, and SwahiliPlanned Parenthood seeks candidates who have experience delivering care in ways that honor and respect LGBTQ communitiesA commitment to Planned Parenthood of Central and Western NY (PPCWNY)'s mission, vision and values along with a commitment to providing services to a diverse range of clients and to the goals of PPCWNY is essentialWorking ConditionsStandard office environment and various community sitesMay experience visual fatigue working at computer with potential extended periods of sittingWell-lit/ventilatedWork ScheduleThis is a full-time, 40 hour a week, position; regular schedule will be Monday – Friday with occasional weekends.Benefits & CompensationAt PPCWNY, we are committed to equitable compensation practices and transparency. In alignment with these efforts, the pay for this position ranges from $22.92-$26.63/hour.
