The initiative addresses the critical need for increased representation of NA/AI individuals in the Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) workforce, particularly in the realm of aging-related health sciences. For more information about working at theUniversity of Arizona and relocations services, pleaseclickhere .Duties & ResponsibilitiesManage training grant research program through event planning, scheduling, facilitating travel arrangements, and day-to-day oversight.Provide support for a recruitment strategy to reach qualified undergraduate NA/AI students.Create and maintain project management system to track future, current, and past trainee data.Maintain frequent contact with current trainees to ensure compliance with program specific requirements.Assist PI with D2L, course scheduling, classroom reservations, and coordinating course speaker schedules for two training grant related courses.Assist undergraduate students with matriculation and course enrollment.Appoint and maintain NIH funded students in xTrain system.Prepare draft revisions to program specific offer letters based on PI requests.Submit, in coordination with business office, student stipend disbursements, reimbursements, and other trainee financial requirements.Write and assemble progress reporting requirements to be provided to Research Administrator for submission to sponsor.Work with PI to develop and execute new strategies as identified.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities (KSAs):Excellent written and verbal communication skills.Demonstrated ability to interact professionally and effectively with investigators, sponsors, and cross-functional teams.Proficient with MS office (e.g., Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint), MS Windows, audio/video equipment, and online collaboration tools (e.g., Google Docs, Dropbox, D2L).Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree or equivalent advanced learning attained through experience required.One (1) year of relevant work experience may be required.Preferred QualificationsFLSANon-ExemptFull Time/Part TimeFull TimeNumber of Hours Worked per Week40Job FTE1.0Work CalendarFiscalJob CategoryResearchBenefits EligibleYes - Full BenefitsRate of Pay$25.50 - $31.87Compensation Typehourly rateGrade7Compensation GuidanceTheRate of Pay Fieldrepresents the University of Arizona's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting.
