Description The Training Program Facilitator is responsible for ensuring that GEOTEK team members are adequately trained and developed to perform their job duties. The Training Program Facilitator will assess the needs of the business, implement training and development plans, and facilitate a wide variety of training programs that enhance the effectiveness of the workforce Essential Functions
- Identify and assess future and current training needs through job analysis working with Dept. Managers. Scope includes, at a minimum, job specific training of manufacturing personnel as well as critical safety and compliance training for all employees.
- Create individualized training and development plans, including training curriculum, for each job type that addresses the needs and expectations for each area
- Develop and prepare training material (training content) for effective and consistent delivery. Work with the department management team when preparing course materials to ensure a detailed understanding of training subjects and processes
- Deliver training to new and existing employees according to the training plan, and re-train employees when necessary. Actively seek current training methods and best practices to facilitate training employees
- Lead the technical personnel required to develop, manage, and deliver training.
- Develop a train-the-trainer program that identifies subject matter experts, trains them to be trainers, and then supervises the rollout, ensuring the training is delivered effectively and consistently.
- Manage and maintain the GEOTEK Learning Center (GLC), ensuring it has the necessary resources to effectively support learning.
- Prepare, deliver, and document (record keeping) safety and compliance training to new hires and ensure individuals are trained in a timely manner
- Document all training and maintain training records, developing effective record-keeping methods as required. Ensure employee training records are complete and recorded in the Learning Management System (LMS), making updates as needed.
- Provide opportunities for ongoing development for exempt and non-exempt employees
- Resolve any specific problems and tailor training programs as necessary by monitoring trends in Quality
- Select and manage resources, including working with both internal employees and vendors to develop and deliver training as needed including translation services for non-English speaking employees
- Manage and provide training KPI's including effectiveness of critical to quality training and retention of employees
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS and Abilities
- Bachelor's degree in education, human resources, or relevant field (technical degree). Years of experience in lieu of bachelor's degree may be considered. Professional certification, such as CPTM is preferred
- At least 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment with 1+ years' experience developing training curriculum, training materials (content), and delivery of training to manufacturing employees
- Familiarity with traditional and modern training methods (mentoring, coaching, on-the-job or in classroom training, e-learning, workshops, simulations etc.)
- Experience with creating content using digital presentation software, such as MS PowerPoint and Canva.
- Experience with Learning Management System (LMS), including Docebo is highly desired.
- Strong leadership skills and experience with leading cross-functional team utilizing project management skills to deliver projects on-time, on-spec, and on-budget.
- Excellent communication skills, especially written and verbal.
- Strong organizational and record keeping skills for organizing projects, reports, and training material; Ability to plan and effectively multi-task, managing multiple initiatives simultaneously
- Demonstrated problem-solving skills; able to identify problems and implement corrective action
- Ability to establish trust and credibility at all levels, inside and outside the organization
- Must possess the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision and report in on all tasks as assigned
- Willingness to work with employees of all types and levels on the production floor, in the classroom, and in the office.
PHYSICAL WORK CONDITIONS • 50 - 50 splits between office and plant work environment. • While working on the floor there will be work with and around moving machinery, fumes and chemicals. • Office work requires sitting at a desk, using a computer and phone.
