Join us.TikTok is looking for an experienced Training Specialist to join the USDS Trust and Safety team. This role is responsible for creating and delivering training for TikTok content moderators across the globe at our vendor partner locations with the core audience being other Trainers. This Training Specialist will own particular lines of businesses or products at TikTok and will be responsible for transferring that knowledge across many Trainers at our vendor locations. This role will work with subject matter experts and stakeholder to identify training needs and performance improvement challenges and address them through effective training solutions. The role will provide train-the-trainer sessions, facilitate learning events and organize instructor-led and e-learning activities. In addition, this role will be required to Project Manage large scale training iniatives that cut across multiple cross functional teams and stakeholders. the The ideal candidate will be able to deliver large scale, multi-day training programs, will have strong communication, project management, process documentation skills, and have a passion for all things learning and development.In order to enhance collaboration and cross-functional partnerships, among other things, at this time, our organization follows a hybrid work schedule that requires employees to work in the office 3 days a week, or as directed by their manager/department. We regularly review our hybrid work model, and the specific requirements may change at any time.Responsibilities- Become the core subject matter expert for assigned internal lines of business or products- Design and conduct engaging instructor-led training sessions, including train-the-trainer programs for multiple vendor sites- Develop and manage multi-day training programs, ensuring content relevance and effectiveness- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and vendor training teams to create innovative and impactful training solutions- Certify and mentor trainers across TikTok vendor and internal locations- Manage small to medium-scale training projects independently, from initiation to execution- Foster a culture of continuous learning by designing and implementing ongoing trainer development initiatives- Transform complex policy changes into easily digestible, effective adult learning materials- Apply adult learning theory principles to select appropriate training methodologies and media based on audience needs and desired outcomes- Partner with cross-functional teams to develop and review assessment materials, including knowledge checks, quizzes, and skills assessments- Thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, meeting tight deadlines with minimal supervision- Work closely with policy and quality teams to address emerging training needs and improve overall performanceOur Training + Quality team performs a critical function that supports our efforts to address objectionable or disturbing content. Content that this person interacts with includes images, video, and text related to every-day life, but it can also include (but is not limited to) bullying; hate speech; child abuse; sexual assault; torture; bestiality; self-harm; suicide; and murder. It is possible that this role will be exposed to harmful content on a daily basis.Qualifications Minimum Qualifications- 4+ years of practical experience in Learning and Development, Training Delivery, or Training Leadership delivering large-scale training programs to diverse audiences.- 3+ years of training experience in a content moderation environment, Customer Support, or BPO/Vendor operations.- 2+ years of experience in managing training initiatives - Experience in working in an Learning Management Systems (LMS) and/or other Learning Development authoring tools Preferred Qualifications- Excellent written and oral communication, public speaking, presentation, and organizational skills.- Strong ability to adapt to changing business needs in a fast-paced environment.- Experience working with cross functional teams across different time zones and cultures.- Ability to travel up to 20% to support moderation locations.- Strong interpersonal skills, including effective listening, intercultural collaboration, and providing feedback.- Solid understanding of adult learning concepts and methodologies.- Proven experience managing multiple training projects independently from initiation to delivery.- Your ability to work in a high tempo environment, adapt, respond to day-to-day challenges of the role.- Your resilience and commitment to self-care to manage the emotional demands of the role.Wellbeing StatementTrust & Safety recognizes that keeping our platform safe for TikTok communities is no ordinary job.
