Job DescriptionSavannah River National Laboratory is seeking a Training Support Specialist to join our team! Under the direction of the Training Lead or Training Manager, the Training Support Specialist will be responsible for the analysis, instructional design, development, implementation, evaluation, and maintenance of training to provide SRNL employees with the knowledge and skills required to perform their jobs safely and competently.Responsibilities
- Ensuring compliance with DOE O 426.2, Manual 4B, and other applicable regulatory requirements.
- Supporting the training needs, job and task analyses of assigned programs.
- Developing and maintaining task-to-training matrices.
- Designing training to include objectives based on skills, knowledge, and abilities, training methods and settings.
- Developing test items that measure trainee performance, are consistent with objectives and ensure predictive validity.
- Developing and revising training materials when appropriate.
- Presenting training in a variety of settings.
- Maintaining accurate records and files in support of training
- Supporting Training Review Committees (TRCs)
QualificationsMinimum Qualifications:
- Must have a BS/BA degree and 7 years of relevant experience.
- Must have 5+ years' experience in the DOE-defined SAT process or equivalent.
- For ability to obtain and maintain a security clearance, US Citizenship is Legally Required
- Must qualify as an Instructional Technologist in accordance with DOE O 426.2.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master's degree in education, instructional design, or similar field.
- 5+ years' experience in training/instructional design.
- Proven success in instructional design, development, evaluation, and program development.
- Possess an active security clearance.
- Possess knowledge of applicable DOE orders, SRNL policies and procedures and other regulatory requirements.
- Possess the breadth and depth of knowledge and skills of an Instructional Designer/Developer.
