Training CoordinatorVilla of Hope helps youth and families Rebuild relationships, Recover from trauma, and Renew Hope for the future.JOB TITLE: Training CoordinatorPOSITION GRADE: 80 [ $19.50- $33.00 Pay commensurate with education and experience ]DEPARTMENT/PROGRAM: Quality and PerformanceSUPERVISOR: Quality and Performance ManagerFLSA STATUS: Non ExemptJOB SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Quality and Performance Manager, the Training Coordinator is responsible for designing, coordinating and implementing training across the organization. This role involves identifying training needs, developing curriculum, and ensuring staff receive the necessary training to maintain high standards of care and compliance with regulatory requirements. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
  • Collaboration and Needs Assessment
  • Collaborate with department leadership and staff to identify training gaps and develop strategies to address these needs.
  • Ensure training plan adheres to all agency, regulatory and accreditation standards.
  • Work closely with Talent and Culture, program managers, and clinical directors to ensure alignment between training initiatives and organizational goals.
  • Provides feedback to program leadership and staff
  • Program Development and Delivery
  • Develop programming designed to equip all new employees and interns with the skills needed to fulfill their roles.
  • Design and develop training programs, workshops, and materials tailored to the specific needs of the organization's programs, including residential, community based, school and behavioral health clinics.
  • Serves as a trainer for TCI and Sanctuary. Including new employee orientation and refreshers.
  • Manage training schedules, materials, and resources, including maintaining training records and documentation.
  • Identify internal and external training programs to address training and competency gaps
  • Coordinates offsite training activities and opportunities.
  • Training Delivery
  • Coordinate and deliver training sessions, both in-person and virtually, ensuring that content is accessible and engaging for all staff levels.
  • Develop master calendar for agency and programmatic trainings, to include monthly, quarterly and annual trainings based on agency policy and required regulatory training.
  • Quality and Performance
  • Ensure that all training programs comply with relevant legal, regulatory, and accreditation standards.
  • Track and assess the effectiveness of training programs, using feedback and performance data to make continuous improvements.
  • Maintain training records for agency staff.
  • Develops training collateral, such as job aids, manuals and handbooks.
  • POSITION SPECIFICS: Education: Associate's degree in human services, education, organizational development or related field. Bachelor's degree preferred.Experience: 2-3 years' experience in training and development. Possess a strong knowledge of methodologies, adult learning principles and instructional design. Commitment to trauma informed practices and methodologies. Experience in behavioral health or residential settings preferred. TCI Trainer Certification preferred. Knowledge of COA, OMH, OASAS, NYSED, and DOH regulations preferred.Skills:
    • Excellent presentation, oral & written communication, facilitation and interpersonal skills
    • Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook and Power Point
    • Strong documentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required
    • Ability to influence and coordinate among all departments to determine training needs and possibilities
    • Ability to multitask, prioritize and manage time efficiently
