Job Description2ND SHIFT MAILROOM OPERATOROn-site in Lexington, KY$15.00/hr.(moves to ABC time after 8 weeks of training)Monday - Friday, 12:30 pm - 9:00 pm (OT may be required based on workload)What you will be doing: Training is mandatory, and attendance is critical. Training will be 8 weeks, one-on-one with an experienced Postage Operator. Must be comfortable with high work volume and able to work independently with limited supervision. Work involves running approximately 15 - 17,000 letters through postage machines onsite, sorting and organizing them into trays, sleeves, and APCs. You will be on your feet for long periods throughout your shift and are responsible for scanning headers for each batch of letters processed to track your piece rate. At the end of the shift, you will assist in taking the mail to the dock for pick-up (must be at the dock by 9:30pm).What you get: Piece rate position with high earning potential after 8 weeks of training. Must have a High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED). Must be eligible to work in the United States. Must be comfortable standing for long periods. Must be able to work 2nd shift, from midday to close, typically around 9:00 pm. Must be comfortable working in a piece-rate position. Must be able to pass a standard background check (no drug test required).People who succeed in this role have: Previous experience working with machines and handling high volumes of work. A strong work ethic and motivation to work independently. Patience to troubleshoot and clear jams from machines as needed.
